transitioning military

Scottsdale, AZ – January 2, 2008

The Navy League Hiring Center, dedicated to helping transitioning military find civilian careers, has added new content to the website at www.navyleague.info.  The new Transition Resources section includes the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Manual online, information on veteran’s benefits, employment opportunities, relocation, education benefits, chat forum, and more.

Established as a job board for transitioning military, the Navy League Hiring Center primarily focuses on assisting candidates with their career search using IdealHire Technologies’ PowerMatch™. The Transition Resources section will greatly enhance the candidate career search by providing useful tools on creating cover letters, preparing for interviews, appropriate internet presence, and even information on available government loans, such as funding for the first move relocating out of the military. We provide information on cities, schools, real-estate, and even starting your own business.

According to Tiffany Andersen, Program Manager, IdealHire Technologies, Inc., “We are excited about providing the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Manual online, which allows candidates to get a jump start on mandatory TAP classes prior to exiting the military.  In addition, we are providing other solutions so that the Navy League Hiring Center will be a one-stop resource to assist transitioning military in settling into their community and marketing themselves for their ideal careers. The Transition Resources Center of the Navy League Hiring Center will soon become a main networking source for all transitioning military personal.”
